Hand-made 12" Chao Gong from China. The Chao Gong creates a bold and proud sounds that when struck it makes its presence known. The bulls-eye design is not painted. It's a coating of iron oxide that forms when the Chao Gong is being made. The rest of the gong is polished to remove it. Striker included.
